Melting (single 2025)

Melting came from a time of grief and emotional strain, when everything felt drawn inward and held tight. The music reflects the moment when that began to soften. It isn’t dramatic or resolved. It’s a slow thaw, quiet and tentative, as warmth gradually finds its way back in.

Soft piano and a gentle cello move through the piece like a voice returning after silence, supported by subtle textures that open space and air. The chaotic piano at the end marks a collapse under sustained stress, a loss of balance after holding too much for too long. It mirrors the strain I’ve lived with over the past months, and the release that follows when control finally gives way.

I didn’t set out to write anything specific. I followed the feeling as it opened, and the music settled where it needed to be, somewhere between ambient and neoclassical, fragile, warm, and honest.

This song is deeply personal. After some major changes in my life, health, and mental state, it reflects on heartbreak and healing, on vulnerability and courage. Sometimes we fall not because we want to, but because it is the only way to truly feel. Every note and every breath reflects those moments, the ones we fear naming, the ones we hide in shadow, but that follow us.
